Hi all,
Just getting a feel for the US e-magazine industry, as we embark on massive international growth with our digital edition product, and wanted to know more about the US print to digital conversion, subscription increases, ad revenues & your cost savings?
We currently use Page Suite, which is great for videos & interactivity, plus when you deal in the volumes we do, you need every reduction in print & transport possible - and wondered if those + different customer profiles reached from e-mags & mass email marketing was important to your advertisers too?
Our digital circ. stats (up 22% yr on yr) have ensured we achieve increased ad rev's (14% on 78% conversion) as we offer free access our supplements... is this being used in the US to drive new readers to then cross sell on to? We've seen success in Europe & Asia from driving value from existing content too - i.e. digitizing your archive (1 yr on 14 titles) without the flash & extensive branding, even though our content appeared time specific - publications range from technology to current affairs.
Hoping Folio & this discussion can drive some strategic digital edition ideas, rather than the usual "click throughs" & "engagement" chat... tiresome! Revenues & ROI. That's the focus!
