FOLIO: mediaPRO

Magazine & eMedia Publishing Professional & Social Network

I'm looking for an email list of US-based magazine publishers - MDs and Circulation directors - so I can try to persuade them to sign up for www.magazine-group.co.uk

We're the number 1 subscription website in the UK and I want to attract more non-UK titles; given the (almost) shared language, US magazines should be able to sell subs over here, particularly B2B and specialist consumer.

Anyone know of any lists out there?

Yes and you're on their site right now. Look for ad info from Red 7 Media which owns Folio and Audience Development magazine. They have various ways to reach your target (you might want to go for banners in their email streams). Here's the their media kit: http://www.audiencedevelopment.com/media-kit

Their list will get you most of universe below the biggest tier pretty well. For Time Inc., Hearst, Conde, Meredith etc. you'll get to some of them through Red 7 but not the majority. There is no one source to get the big-pub marketing managers but NY Circ Day is good.

Good luck and feel free to contact me directly to discuss.

Hi Don,

Can we arrange for a quick conference call? We have been building B2B list for various publishers, group companies and FTSE 250 Media companies.
You can contact me on sudharma.sawant@cheersin.com or call me on +912267725722

Don, please contact me. We may very well have what you need. Try our website http://www.ims.ca. We track the advertising in approx. 2,600 magazines in North America (predominently in the USA) and another 500 or so in the UK market.

I look forward to it.

Hi Don,

You can try Yahoo's industry directory

http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/728_cl_all.html

which seems pretty exhaustive to me (I am based in France but have been using this list for work as a reference). I will check the other sources provided by other members too of course.

Just an FYI (self-promotion type of thing, hopefully I am not violating mediaPRO's netiquette here...) : feel free to check www.noodls.com , the world's first global aggregator of official information in real time (like commercial wires like Business Wire or PRNewswire but... much, much better basically : ).

noodls is a wicked tool for journalists to connect to sources and their PR/media relations services. It lets you be informed in real-time of any news (press releases, corporate information etc.) published by companies or organisations around the world (multilingual), but is also great tool for PRs to publish their content for free (an then monitor usage by noodls users) and generally anyone (companies, analysts etc.) who needs to monitor competition or industry-wide news.

My best selling point is that I use it everyday to monitor potential clients, and it works better than multiple RSS feed or anything else I can think of. Feedback and questions most welcome (and sorry for the long, self-promoting piece...)

Jeremy
