Hi Everyone,

I wanted to run by you several concepts and validate them with people involved in day-to-day publishing.

How important do you think mobile journalism applications are?

For example a full-scale iPhone CMS backend - that allows your editors to write new content, post mobile pictures, moderate comments and discussions, etc. - right from their mobile while commuting. I mean a back-end that is seamlessly integrated with your CMS.

What do you think about it? How important is such a feature for you? Would this be an important feature in choosing a CMS?

and on the other hands - what kind of mobile applications do you feel a need for in your editorial, publishing and content creation businesses?

As an iPhone addict, I am probably not an unbiased source, but there's no question the future of publishing includes mobile, and not just consumer publications but also B2B and academic publications. I find the ability to review content on my iPhone greatly increases my productivity and ease of staying connected to my field.

As a publisher, I definitely want the option to deliver mobile content.

By this question i meant the backend tool for your editors to publish, edit and moderate let's say while they are commuting. iPhone app that allows you to work with your CMS/editorial interface backend while commuting.

That would definitely be useful. Most of the major blogs offer something like this already (I have Wordpress's on my iPhone).
