Where are the best places to look for reliable, highly motivated, part-time, and knowledgeable web ad salespeople? Considering the current economic climate, I would like to know where exceptional ad salespeople look to identify prospective sales positions. reMarriage magazine (www.remarriagemag.com) is a start-up that targets a very unique, but large niche audience
Paula - are you in Baltimore? I think that we know some people in common over at Warschawski (I hope I didn't butcher that). I'm looking for someone as well. My thought has been to advertise the listing on Craigslist in NY, Chicago and LA - which I did a while back. I had no luck with quality in NY or Chicago but found someone I like in LA. Please share with me anything you find. ben @ youngmoney.com. I'm in Hunt Valley.
The other thing I've done which you may want to do is look at networks which will represent your site outside of the ad network. Burst Media and Value Click both offer that service (and I'm sure others).
I am also looking for an ad sales rep to work for my company. I just launched my new web site and have decided to pass on TV , DVD and PPV to go after the boundless internet market. I am looking for someone to sell off the real estate on my site. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
There may be more available reps with the economic down-turn. However, another option is to train your print reps to sell online. Integrated selling is the best solution. We have been very successful training print reps to sell onilne and integrated programs (check our testimonials), but it takes at least two days to really learn the materials and it takes re-working the comp plan and providing additional support. "Intelligent Selling of Internet Advertising - Level I and Level II" are taught each month in NY and in Chicago and LA. More info at www.laredogroupseminars.com
