Many publishers are starting to use Web 2.0 technologies in their businesses. How are you using it? Have you seen any other publishers using it really well?
At Sapien Harbor - we have been using Web 2.0 to capture knowledge from our global relationships in truly dynamic ways. Web 2.0 opens up the door to true collaborative information share in a way that we have never really had before. Though I truly feel that Web 2.0 is the closest that we have come to really bringing the original vision of the web to the forefront - I also feel that web 3.0 will even expand the space greater. We are seeing the dawn of Web 3.0 (not to get off topic - but to be a bit futuristic here...) spaces like Second Life are going to play a huge role in how we consume information. Reuters is giving us a living example of the immersive space (web 3.0) and they are not ashamed about it :) -
So Web 2.0 is a cornerstone, a building block to collaborative data generation and share. I absolutely LOVE it and we use it whenever and wherever we can!
