WAS in publishing until our magazine bosses closed our doors this summer. Freelancing for a spell and growing accustomed to fuzzy slippers instead of heels again. Magazine publishing doesn't seem a very healthy field in Texas these days, but I keep holding out hope for improvement. As a freelancer, can I participate in this group?

Not a woman either, but many of the publishers and editors I work with are and are saner and more in-control then the guys I work with!
