I'm pretty much focused now on my doctorate -- I finish coursework in the spring and then take my comps at the end of June or August. Isn't much time for anything else. I have two barely grown kids -- the boy in college, my daughter just finished and working her first job. I adore art and it's great that you are an art director...so many interesting things going on with the Web.

As I mentioned, Janine Frank, the author of a charming book about rural Michigan life in the 40s, might want to send you a copy for a look-see. I loved her book for its humor and guileless quality...really a gem. If you're willing, send me your magazine address and I'll pass it along to Janine. I'd like to see her get a bit of recognition.
