In 2004, I founded Writing Our World Press, a small Chicago-based publishing house that relocated to Arkansas, in 2008.

In 1988 I became publisher of the award-winning Arkansas State Press Newspaper, founded by Arkansas civil rights legends, Daisy and L.C. Bates. A few years later I started Little Rock In View Magazine.

I was aware of Folio years ago when I published the magazine and recently learned of this network.

Personal Interests

I am one of 19 children born to Arkansas Delta Sharecroppers. I have a son who attended Morehouse and recently graduated from law school. He and my daughter-in-law have two beautiful twins, a boy and a girl!
