Title:
Consultant/Contractor, previously Audience Development & Classified Advertising Manager
Media Type:
Publishing, eMedia
Media Realm:
Business Media, Associations
Home Region:
Mid West
Past Companies & Brands
A seasoned audience development pro and former BPA circulation auditor with 10+ years of publishing experience (5 have been with B2B, controlled magazines) -- from start-ups to established publications. Extensive knowledge of BPA/ABC and postal regulations, circulation database fulfillment systems, Web analytics tools, digital editions, and critical business operations management – including budgets, revenue growth, cost cutting, marketing, circulation statement and audit preparations, vendor relations, partnership building, list acquisition, and staff training.

Recommendations:

“Reggie is a dedicated, goal-oriented professional with strong decision making skills. He made a very positive impact on our journal through his analytical skills, BPA circulation experience, telemarketing efforts, and implementation of classified advertising. -- Dennis Cada, PharmD, FASHP, FASCP, Editor-in-Chief of Hospital Pharmacy” February 27, 2009
-- Dennis Cada, Executive Editor, Wolters Kluwer Health, managed Reginald at Wolters Kluwer Health

“Reggie is an extremely thorough and dedicated professional, with strong analytical skills. He can be very creative in his approach to solving problems, and works diligently until a job is finished.” January 12, 2009
-- Cathy Reilly, Vice President and Publisher, Wolters Kluwer Health, managed Reginald indirectly at Wolters Kluwer Health

“Reginald helped Schofield Media grow in value by double digits while also adding to the company's credibility in the marketplace. Reginald was very effective in managing budgets and matched spending with the company's goals.” August 18, 2009
-- John Salmon, former CFO & COO , Schofield Media, managed Reginald at Schofield Media/Ideal Media

“While at Schofield Media, Reggie brought in a circulation management software program that was badly needed to manage the mailing lists of their several magazines. At the same time, he was charged with the task of converting the readers of those same magazines from "controlled circulation" to "qualified" for Periodicals Class (USPS) purposes. After the conversion was complete, the publisher would save a considerable amount of postage to mail his magazines. He also hired and worked daily with a telemarketing firm to qualify the addressees. He had a tremendous amount of pressure on him, to handle these two major undertakings at the same time. Most circulation directors would only tackle one of these projects at a time. Reggie handled them both with style, a great deal of professionalism and portrayed a solid understanding of the process to get to the end result quickly, on time and on budget. Being the salesman for the company that printed his magazines, I worked with Reggie on a regular basis on circulation issues and found him extremely loyal and highly professional in every contact we had. If I were to start a magazine publishing company, Reggie would be the first person I'd hire. His knowledge of circulation, BPA auditing and the magazine business in general would be invaluable to the success of my company.” May 26, 2009
-- Lane Epstein, Senior Sales Representative, RR Donnelley, was with another company when working with Reginald at Schofield Media/Ideal Media

Will pay up to $1000 to the contact who directly helps me secure a FT job w/benefits that I accept, and another recommendation

I will pay up to $1000 to the contact who directly helps me secure a full-time job w/benefits that I accept. (If multiple people are directly involved, then the $$ will be split.) Consider it a finder's fee and tangible way of saying "thanks!".

I would also be grateful for assistance in securing informational interviews and further expanding my network. For example, I will pay $50 to anyone who can pull some strings and get me an in-person informational interview with an HR contact within the Cardinals (esp. Gameday Magazine), Blues, or Rams organizations and/or with St. Louis Sports Magazine. $100 for a formal job interview. If the interview(s) directly lead to a FT job offer w/benefits that I accept, then that $$ will go towards the up to $1000 I will pay for that help.

My preference is to remain in St. Louis, but I would consider another relocation for the right opportunity.
