Hi Sarah, I saw your post on Green Publishing Strategies--we share a common interest/goal. I've long been angling toward starting a 'green' magazine so I applaud your initiative and wish you the best of success with it. My training is in publishing (journals/magazines) and environmental studies/science--a foundation I've laid for taking that eventual leap toward a start-up. I'd love to hear how your magazine develops. And if you need a freelancer in the Boston area, I'm a writer/editor with a particular interest in environmental topics.
I just posted a comment with the editorial group for you. Would love to hear more about your plans for a national green magazine. Not sure if I know enough people with deep pockets, but would be willing to put the word out.
Hey, Sarah. I've just started a custom publishing company in Dallas, Texas. Web address is www.oser-bentley.com
In addition to our client work we are working on starting our own titles; one of which will have an eco-lifestyle and travel focus. Maybe we can be of help to each other.
Hey Sarah. Saw the note you posted. You're going to want to talk to Frank Locantore (frank@coopamerica.org). He writes for our FOLIO: blog on occasion. Check out this recent post:
Group to discuss publishing, writing, editing, managing digital editions and share ideas, strategies, trouble shoot and anything else you can think of.
Commercial Use Limitations: Use of any content features (blogs, forums, messaging, etc) for direct self-promotion, spamming, etc. will result in account termination. Profiles are for individuals only at this time, not companies. Profile headshots should not include company logos. Publishing/Media companies (non vendors) may create groups for their employees. Vendors see this post for more information.
