Interview Dos and Donts--your suggestions are welcome!
So this weekend I will be attending a film festival for an assignment, and I will have to interview organizers, contestants, viewers, etc. to gain their perspective on the event. I've done one face to face interview before, but since it was with a friend of mine for a college assignment I don't consider it to be relevant experience. Thus, I have no experience with face to face interviewing. Are there any pointers that anyone can give me before the festival this Sunday, April 26? Anything and everything is welcome!

Comment by Kevin Convertito on May 12, 2009 at 1:57pm - get someone else to videotape you talking to the interviewee so it's not just you shoving a microphone/camera in their face and try to keep it casual. Film a lot to get a little—30 minutes might yield you less than a minute or two of interesting, usable content...
