I know it is generally considered bad form to pump your own stuff on a forum thread, but this is a great design story that I wrote about a few years ago. The story continues to unfold.
It's about a dotcom entrepreneur who ended up with some time and money and decided to make good on an idea he'd had for thirty years to publish a collection of Winsor McCay's 100-year-old comic strip Little Nemo. The project presented special design challenges, and he was obsessed with making it perfect. Everyone he spoke to in the industry said they liked his ideas, but couldn't get behind it.
The pumping? Well, I just blogged about what's new with the project, and thought that members of this group would really enjoy it — especially if you enjoy comics and illustrative art. Follow the links in my blog and you'll be amazed at Winsor McCay's art.
