Social Network Architecture

Just a probe to find out how many other Social Media Strategist we have on here? Sometimes I feel like a "odd ball" in many circles. One would imagine there are other Social Media Strategist here for sure!

So the question... Does anybody have a Social Network Architecture that is "sure fire" and relatively easy to maintain?

That's a great question that I hope someone has some suggestions on. C'mon everyone! ;)

And I guess you could call me the Social Media Strategist at my company, though it would be great as a full time job!

No responses yet?? Okay - Let me through this in and MAYBE it will get this train rolling -

On the average we deploy roughly 10 - 15 Social Networks per client that we are working with - of course using best practices along the way... We also integrate at least 5 Broadcasting platforms and at least 3 Video Broadcasting platforms, most of which we keep as internal "secrets" if you call em that - Then comes all of the publishing platforms, blah blah blah... BUT the mystery is in the maintenance. We have a pretty "slick" way of doing it - BUT I am curious as to how all of you are doing it as well...

Vincent - i guess I wear that "hat" at our company - and we're really just starting to get our feet wet. we don't just want to broadcast through social media - but actually engage a community - so i personally am a full-time social networker - but on the clock - my time to it is very part-time now -- I'm recommending a team approach for the maintenance - and realize that apps like twitterfeed, ping.fm are going to help streamline systems - but the 1-to-1 is where we will need a dedicated strategy backed by "humans."

Indeed!

I have worked with a LOT of companies in this area "Social Media" and the Networks behind it all - and this is indeed the overall theme - H U M A N S - It's obvious that it has always been about humans however; I think in all of the early on adoption of the web - and it's unique ability to connect with MORE people faster gave us a distorted view of how all of this works, I mean REALLY WORKS. So to hear that you all have captured that realization - I am sure that in a few months you will be contributing some amazing information concerning the conversations that are authentically happening in this exciting new space.

Building the strategy is so key. How DO you manage all of this "conversation"? This is still the vast frontier that excites me. I have seen some pretty elegant Networks and I have seen some that are totally cumbersome - so we make em better, BUT all in all - it amazes me how creative you can be with Social Network Design. I really feel that each Social Media Maverick - will start to develop his or her own way of doing things based on the relevant platforms (networks) the organization engages...

Good stuff!

My job isn't specifically described as 'Social Media Strategist,' but as a Web editor I wouldn't be very effective if I didn't dedicated 40-50 percent of my time to thinking about, working on and dealing with social media. If that meets your criteria, count me in.
