Thanks Cable. Great to be on board. This is a great idea and an excellent opportunity to mix it up with others in the industry. I look forward to participating.
I wish, i did have every issue. I could sell then, and use the money, to buy time-warner, and should then how a real magazine company should be run! Plus I would also bring back Life.( covers of some old ones then, will be posted, when I can fine the disk, )
Except for the rain here in Orlando, all's well. I've participated in several sessions, and it seems to me they didn't flop. Thank goodness. Overall, it's been interesting. Only thing missing has been ... you. Maybe next year, eh?
Sure, "Judi." Sounds interesting, that proposed new site of yours. BTW, I do a column -- 'The Magazine Medic' -- for [FPO], the new quarterly for magazine-industry creatives. Next up: 'Playboy.' You may find the column of interest. Or not.
Re your FOLIO:mediaPRO ID photo: Reminds me of some street scenes in San Francisco.
Hi Cable - ran across you in a discussion somewhere... Am opening a website that will include material from and for mag editors. In addition to content about the editing field I plan to have "guest" editors contribute short pieces or blogs as time goes on. I may contact you about this in the near future.
Commercial Use Limitations: Use of any content features (blogs, forums, messaging, etc) for direct self-promotion, spamming, etc. will result in account termination. Profiles are for individuals only at this time, not companies. Profile headshots should not include company logos. Publishing/Media companies (non vendors) may create groups for their employees. Vendors see this post for more information.
