Professionally, seems like over a decade as a public relations and marketing consultant, freelance writer, newspaper columnist, travel writer for Fodor's and general media consumer fed up with the status quo contributes to my publishing world. Amazing to reflect and see how every job I've ever had, how every contact I've ever made, how every piece of advice I've ever opened my ears to, has converged to create the business woman I am today.
Personal Interests
Kicking back on a gorgeous Maui beach, with eyes shut feeling the warm sun while listening to a cool ocean breeze, discovering fabulous restaurants, treating myself to season tickets for the Oregon Symphony, learning about the ever-changing publishing world, discovering each day brings new possibilities both personally and professioanlly.
Never lived in Portland. Used to visit -- and got involved in the P. Creative Conference -- when I was an L.A. resident. Always enjoyed it there. As for the Folio:Show in Chicago: Had been invited to speak there, but in the end decided not to attend. If you're going, enjoy.
Do you by any chance know Sandi Serling, who does PR in Portland? I knew her from my L.A. days, and also from my era as a member of the Portland Creative Conference board. (I do miss the town. Nice place to live/work.)
