Good question Qing. I think the magazines in China which rely on international advertising are going to have a pretty tough year. Not sure how those which are getting more domestic business will do, but I don't think anybody's expecting a great year!

Happy New Year.

Hi Qing,
Congratulatons on the "A" grade.
I'll be in NYC after the holidays. Suggest a day when you can make it to Pace's downtown campus and we can meet nearby.

Hi Qing,
Good to hear from you.
Yes. The economy is hurting business.
Many of my clients are hurting as the advertising market contracts. So my clients have to cut spending, and my business suffers as a result.
But at least so far, it hasn't been a disaster. I'm getting by.
Talk to you soon.

No problem. Drop me a line anytime and we'll figure out a time and place to chat.

Hi Qing,
Yes. I live and work near the downtown campus.
We can meet there, or at the Starbucks next to the campus, or anyplace nearby. Next week or the week thereafter is fine. Just drop me a line a day or so before you'd like to meet. If I'm not traveling for business, we'll pick a time and place.

Hi Qing,
I'll keep you in mind for any China-based opportunities.
In the meantime, let me know if you want to chat in person and come up with some strategies. I live and work right around the corner from Pace.

IDG is probably the smartest B2B publisher on earth. And Pat McGovern's decision to move into Asia years ago is just one of the many things they did right.

Hi Qing,
How are you?
I'm not doing any direct business in China. But several of my clients have operations there. I also have a client in India and several other connections in the Asia-Pacific Rim region.
