FDR Media - More than a magazine

FDR Magazine (Florida Designers Review) is an affluent residential shelter magazine celebrating the West Coast of Florida's design projects and professionals. Unlike popular retail distribution methods, FDR is distributed more in a manner similar to Departures Magazine, reaching an exceptionally targeted audience who through transaction profiling is pre-qualified for delivery by their very purchase habits.
Our strategy was not ever to be simply print but a media company centered around exceptional affluent residential design. As such, our web site requires introductions prior to access to content and allows us to track interest. Version 2.0 steps further into the consumer experience and creates introductions between consumers and clients through hot-spotting within existing content.
Watch for our pilot DTV program in conjunction with our coast's CBS Affiliates in the first quarter 2009. Scripted and shot in Florida we take you on a tour of affluent residential design and the art of living well.
So why am I here beyond the novelty of social networking? I am here to help others evolve their models through our failures and successes. I am here to connect with partners who can help extend the FDR brand, add revenue streams, and define retail distribution that makes sense for the exclusive nature of our media. And finally I am here to identify people assets and complimentary product assets available for acquisition.

If I can answer questions for you on something I have mentioned that intrigues you or perhaps you can offer ideas, methods and/or guidance on any of the areas I mentioned, by all means pull up a keyboard and lets chat!

Greg, actually the picture came from a Devils/Flyers game. I saw myfdr.com and would suggest learning about our (www.CheckM8.com) advertising technologies - especially the publisher side rich media solution. We currently increase online advertising revenues for magazine brands such as Hachette Filipacchi, Sports Illustrated, and Business Week. If interested, contact me directly at 212.268.0048x415 or email eric at checkm8 dot com

Hi Greg ..I'm about as non traditional as it gets ......I've allways spent my entire carrer on the edge .....I understand your delima ...Its just about impossible to find and keep great sales people ....I've spent the last 35 years trying to figure it out .....I've had well over a hundred ad sales people working for me.....Found 99% of them outside the magazine industry ...I allways looked for some kind of athlectic back ground ...You know they have that gene that just wont give up ....Hands down the best sales person I have ever had in my stable was a young woman I found at a Aerobic Club ....She's now very rich and retired ....She was something else ......Its a no brainer to teach them about magazines and the protocol invo;lved and how to break all the rules ...You just cant teach what the sales gene gives them ...Lets talk more ...I'll think about your situation ...

Hi Greg,

Your book looks great and reads beautifully...you certainly have a touch for design coverage. Hope the market is treating you kindly. We should catch up sometime.
